Meet Katie, our awesome new Tallahassee pet sitter! She LOVES what she does, and it shows. While the newest addition to the OUG! Tally gang spends Monday through Friday dog walking and kitty sitting, she spends her weekends as a professional make-up artist!
I’m in charge of: Canine exercise, pet snuggles, and fun!
My furry family: Lady is an adorable 8-pound, 2-year-old Morkie puppy!
My super power: Pet telepathy!
Best thing ever: Watching a great movie with my husband and Lady.
Hidden Talent: Multitasking!
Life Philosophy: “We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams.” – Willy Wonka
Meet the Baroness Elsa Von Doodle, one of my favorite dogs…..EVER. She has a royal lineage and expects to be treated accordingly.
When her mom gets the salad spinner out, she comes a-runnin’! The baroness likes nothing better than sitting near the dinner table daintily munching her organic lettuce leaves!
Meet gorgeous George, a Maine Coon cat that we have fallen in love with.
He is a gentle giant who lets his much smaller cat sisters run the show. He is laid back and super sweet.
His awesome Pet Parents have discovered his obsession with bubbles. He loves to watch them float by, and when the mood strikes, put the whammy on one.
It’s that time of year again..the weather is just perfect for the 4th Annual DC Doggie Dash 5K and 1 mile fun run in beautiful Southwood! The Dash is March 15th and registration starts bright and early at 7:30am. Don’t miss the K-9 Unit demonstration at 10:30am. Proceeds will benefit the K-9 Units and Dog Obedience programs of the Florida Department of Corrections.
Since one of my own sweet pups graduated from one of the phenomenal DC dog obedience programs, this cause is near and dear to my heart. These programs give both the inmate and the dogs a second chance at life. Please check out the wonderful dogs available for adoption at Florida Department of Corrections’ Web site.
This is a leave-your-pups-at-home event so all of the attention is on the wonderful dogs ready for their forever homes. Visit this event’s listing for more info.
Please come out and show your support for the K-9 Units and the DC dog programs!
Meet our pal, Barkley, the World Cup “Most Valuable Pup”!! We’ve had the pleasure of watching this handsome devil grow up.
Barkley’s most favorite toy is his soccer ball–it’s almost as big as he is! He even head butts the ball like Pelé himself. Barkley makes for an impressive goalie despite his small stature!
Buster literally has the best dog fits, EVER. His exuberance and natural sweetness are very special.
He is the embodiment of a favorite poem by Rumi about being truly happy. “Sell your cleverness and purchase bewilderment.”
We have thrown a tennis ball for Buster approximately 573 times so far, and each time we pick the ball up he is transfixed. His look of astonishment and expectation is both priceless and palpable.
He is a pleasure to be around, and that, my friends, is the Zen of Buster.
Join Out-U-Go! at the Pets Ad Litem Celebrity Karaoke for K-9’s and Kool Kats!!! Check out local celebrities as they rock the house for a good cause!
This event will be at The Moon on February 8 from 6:30-9:30 pm. It will be a howling good time with a live band and a super cool silent auction. Join your favorite Out-U-Go! sitters to enjoy some great music and support an awesome cause!
Visit The Moon’s Event Page for more info on this event.
Coconut is a fun cat and we suspect a Zen master. She has a great life and great parents!
Coconut can also do cat magic—she walks with a light step but can sound like a herd of buffalo thundering down the stairs when she hears us get her Christmas stocking out of the pantry!
Little Coconut is a joyful being: she enjoys life no matter what she is doing, and by the transitive properties of cats made our holidays brighter. She reminded us that life is too short not to enjoy what you are doing!
Meet Ralphie, a handsome devil and super sweet rescue dog from Last Hope Rescue in Tallahassee. Ralphie won the dog lottery and is now part of a wonderful, loving family!
He is one of our all-time favorites—sweet and laid back but loves a good romp with his water bottle butterfly toy! He also specializes in couch-snoozing and cuddling. Visiting Ralphie is truly a pleasure!
OUG! helps homeless pets like Ralphie every day by giving HUGs. HUGs, short for Home-U-Go!, is our way of supporting the humans of rescues and shelters finding forever homes for pups and kitties in need.
Halloween is a pretty great holiday to share with your pet. Not only does every pup’s favorite word occur within its most popular exclamation, “trick or treat,” it is a day (…or week…or entire month) where a furry body running around in a little hot dog suit or carrying out an entire neighborhood watch shift, a.k.a. walk, wearing a skeleton outfit is not considered absurd.
Meet a few of our Tallahassee pet pals who are donning their best dog Halloween costumes in the spirit of the spooky!
Jingbo & Delta…The Top Dog’s Frogs!
Hopping around causing trouble is their favorite past time! They had a howling good time in PetSmart picking out their costumes.
Jingbo…Tally’s Cutest “Dog” Walker!
Jing loves to wear his Out-U-Go! gear! He looks quite dashing in his orange visor. Too bad he chewed up his OUG sunglasses…
What are your four-legged kiddos dressing up as for Halloween?
