I’m in charge of: Guarding my half of the couch.

My favorite game: Not coming in from the backyard when called.

Favorite thing to do on a sunny day: Hang with my best friends, Daisy and Herbert (OUG! gets to walk them, too!).

Favorite thing to do on a rainy day: Go to school and read with kids! I’m a SitStayRead doggie!

Best gift ever: A home and someone who puts up with me eating poop!

Life philosophy: Keep it simple: snacks, naps, and walks in the woods.

Meet Ralphie, rescued from Tallahassee Last Hope Rescue

Meet OUG! Tallahassee Rescue Dog, Ralphie!

Meet Ralphie, a handsome devil and super sweet rescue dog from Last Hope Rescue in Tallahassee. Ralphie won the dog lottery and is now part of a wonderful, loving family!

He is one of our all-time favorites—sweet and laid back but loves a good romp with his water bottle butterfly toy! He also specializes in couch-snoozing and cuddling. Visiting Ralphie is truly a pleasure!

OUG! helps homeless pets like Ralphie every day by giving HUGs. HUGs, short for Home-U-Go!, is our way of supporting the humans of rescues and shelters finding forever homes for pups and kitties in need.

Gabe is awesome at dog walking and cat sitting in Colorado! Get to know a little more about Gabe.

I’m in charge of: Canine posterior oscillation… I make sure tails are wagging.

My furry family: Jack, a 12-year-old Jack Russell terrier. Loves fish; hates squeaky toys.

My super power would be: The ability to always pull exact change from my pocket.

Best thing ever: Picking a good cantaloupe. You just never know.

Hidden talent: I’m good at parallel parking. Like, really good.

After a lot of careful planning, Out-U-Go! Denver Pet Care recently relocated to an awesome, freshly remodeled office space. Located between 2nd and 3rd on Broadway in Denver, our new space is huge, bright, colorful, and awesome!

Turkey & Cranberry Dog Cookies [Recipe]

In looking for ways to share a memorable Thanksgiving dinner with our pups sans slipping table scraps, we’ve stumbled upon this genius treat recipe in which two cornerstone Turkey Day dishes join forces to become:

Turkey & Cranberry Dog Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 3-1/2c. whole wheat flour
  • 1tsp. baking powder
  • 1c. shredded cooked turkey
  • 1c. dried cranberries
  • 1 egg
  • 1tbsp. olive oil
  • 1c. low-sodium chicken broth, or as needed

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F & lightly grease baking sheets.
  2. In large bowl, thoroughly whisk together whole wheat flour & baking powder. Stir in cooked turkey meat & dried cranberries. Make a well in center of mixture: pour in egg, olive oil, and 1/2c. chicken broth. Mix into soft dough, adding chicken broth 1tbsp. at a time if needed for consistency.
  3. Turn dough out onto floured work surface: knead for 1-2mins. Roll dough out 1/4in. thick and cut with favorite cookie cutters!
  4. Bake until treats brown (~25mins.). Turn off oven, leaving treats in for additional 30mins. to dry out. *Refrigerate leftovers.*

Yield: wiggly bodies and waggly tails (…and 45 treats)
