Tallahassee Red Hills International Horse Trials adopt a dog weekend event

Meet Adoptable Tallahassee Pups at Red Hills Horse Trials!

Check out the wonderful adoptable pups our local animal rescue groups, including Big Dog Rescue, have available March 7-9 at the 2014 Red Hills Horse Trials. Enjoy the beautiful spring weather while getting to know some of the available pups that local rescue groups have lovingly fostered. Even if you are at maximum density in the dog department, this is a great opportunity to meet these groups, learn about volunteer programs, and donate! You can do this while enjoying a world-class horse show at the beautiful Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park! I ask you…does it get any better than this?

This is a leave-your-dog-at-home event so that adoptable dogs can strut their stuff without distraction…plus, it is best not to disturb horses and riders with a badly timed dog fit!

If you are interested in attending, visit Red Hills International Horse Trials.

Downers Grove Pet Sitter Liz

Meet Downers Grove Pet Sitting Extraordinare, Liz! Warning: Her Dogs Will Make You “Aww” Out Loud! [PHOTO]

Hi there, I’m Liz, pet sitter extraordinaire covering Downers Grove! I’d like to introduce you to my furry family. I have a 7 year-old Chihuahua named Bigsby, who we call Bigs for short, a 4 year-old Yorki-Poo named Ella, and last but not least, there is my 9-month-old American Bulldog named Cooper.

Every day is an adventure with these three! My bulldog would definitely be the most social of the gang…we spend a lot of time at the dog park playing, running, and saying hi to every potential furry or human friend he sees.

As a joint decision, my furry family and I would declare the classic red Kong as our favorite toy! Each of my pups has their own size-appropriate Kong, and they go to town when I put their favorite snacks inside, like peanut butter, apple sauce, and pumpkin. Sometimes I freeze the filled Kong to make it last longer (shhhh… don’t tell them that!).

My pups also agree on having a favorite treat: they go absolutely bananas for Stella & Chewy’s Carnivore Crunch! We like to go back & forth between and try all the other flavors, too.

As cheesy at it may sound, the best gift I’ve ever received are my dogs! Their unconditional love is something that can never be replaced.

Thanks for taking the time to get to know me and my furbabies!

Madison-dog-Azul

Meet Out-U-Go! Madison’s Biggest Fan: Azul!

Our furry pal, Azul, has been part of the OUG! Madison family since we opened! Here, she reflects on her year of visits with us as we celebrate our Wisconsin location’s first birthday:

How long have you given your B.F.F.s at OUG! the privilege of providing your walks, love, and belly rubs?

I’ve been B.F.F.s with Out-U-Go! since I moved to Madison with my mom and the cats last June. I like diving into snowbanks here on my walks!

What’s your favorite part of your visits?

It’s hard to choose a favorite, but I’d say KISSIES! ..then TREATS.

How many total belly rubs do you estimate that you’ve received from your OUG! pet sitters?

About a million billion.

Do you want to share with us any funny stories from any of your visits or walks?

This was my very first Halloween in a real home and I discovered pumpkins, the best food-toy ever! They were everywhere, but my mom wouldn’t let me carry them home from our walks. Our new neighbors gave me pumpkins, though, to keep in my yard, so I could play soccer with them and chew on them.

Just out of curiosity, who’s your favorite cat?

Lewis hisses at me, and Bismarck sleeps on my head, so Isabelle is my favorite. I love to give her lots of kisses!

Out-U-Go! Madison Turns One! A Special Thanks from Top Dog, Lisa.

Birthday Wags, Pet Parents!

This month, Out-U-Go! Madison turns one! That’s right, it’s been a year since we opened our doors here in Madison and began meeting and caring for so many fabulous pups, kitties, and pet parents in this fantastic community.

In celebration of our first year together (although, we’re totally seven in dog years..), my staff and I would like to take a special moment to thank our fantastic pet parents. We couldn’t have asked for better humans to embark on this journey with us, and we appreciate your support from the very beginning of what is sure to be a long, exciting road with plenty of interesting trees to smell.

We’re incredibly proud to have reached this landmark with your help, and our tails are just a-waggin’ thinking about the adventures in store for years to follow. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts for your continued trust with your furry families!

Paws & Whiskers,
Lisa & Finn
